I'm Svetlana Pelin, a contemporary artist whose work explores the beauty of iconic personalities through expressive portraiture. Inspired by cinema, fashion, music and cultural history, I create artworks that combine emotion, atmosphere, and timeless elegance.
Over the years, I've worked with a wide range of traditional and digital media, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil and digital illustration. Rather than limiting myself to a single technique, I choose the medium that best expresses the personality and mood of each subject. Today my artistic practice focuses primarily on gouache, acrylic and digital illustration, techniques that allow me to create bold, expressive works that translate beautifully into contemporary interiors while preserving the character of the original artwork. Every portrait is created as an artistic interpretation rather than a literal copy, celebrating the spirit and lasting influence of remarkable people.
Creative Vision
Every artwork begins with research into the person's life, style and cultural legacy. I explore photographs, films, fashion and historical references before developing my own artistic interpretation.
